Thank you, Volunteer: Carlene Bilke

Carlene Bilke is one of the volunteers at City Hall. She likes to continue to “use her brain,” and transferring phone calls and answering questions is a perfect fit. 

Her face may seem familiar to many. She worked in the District Court system for 12 years, one day a week.

Her past career included acting as the purchasing agent for a publishing company. She’s also worked as a substitute teacher but wasn’t thrilled with her personal reading and math skills, so helping out the city she feels is just perfect. 

“Volunteers can pick and choose the best day and time, and if a conflict arises, we just let Christeen know,” she said.

Her bright, friendly smile can be seen on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Thank you, Carlene.
