Thank you, Volunteers: Wayne & Yvonne Cone

Wayne and Yvonne Cone have been married for 52 years, and their three children have given them nine grands, and one great-grand is on the way. Besides being volunteers at City Hall, they love serving at their church – Union Baptist Church. They both have a heart for serving the community.

Wayne returned from serving in Vietnam and was excited to find a job at Montgomery Wards. When the opportunity arose to transfer to New Mexico, they wanted to stay in Harrison. That’s when he got back into law enforcement. Wayne has served the City for 40 years in several capacities, from an Officer, Police Chief, and Coroner to 19 years as a council member for Ward 4, Position 2.

Wayne and Yvonne make a great team and love to serve the community. Come by and see them on Friday mornings at City Hall. Thank you, Cones!
