Officer Loggins enjoys students

School Resource Officer Craig Loggins has worked for the Harrison Police Department for one year. He has seven years of experience as an SRO for the Searcy County Sheriff’s Office and Searcy County School District.

“My favorite part of the job is interaction with the students. I love being around kids, so I wasn’t too nervous about accepting the position.”

Loggins encourages parents to instill in their children the importance of being kind and honest. He also reminds students to know their surroundings and never get in a car with strangers.

“Parents need to let their children know we are their friends and it’s safe to come to us whenever necessary. We are there for them and want to keep our students safe,” he said.

Officer Loggins enjoys hunting, fishing, and scuba diving when he’s not at work.

Skyline Elementary Principal Josh Magness said, “Officer Loggins is so much more than our school resource officer. While we all trust he will keep us safe, he performs so many more roles at Skyline. He is one of the first adults every student will encounter each morning. You can't get past Officer Loggins without a hug, fist bump, or joke. Officer Loggins is always visible and sets great examples for students. You might spot Office Loggins cleaning up the playground with a group of 4th graders or eating lunch with a student having a rough day. Skyline students LOVE Officer Loggins because Officer Loggins LOVES our students!”
