Editor’s Note: This is the fourth in a series of articles featuring information about each room at the Creekside Community Center and Creekside Aquatics.
Tempo Fire and Security has done a lot of work at the Creekside Community Center to provide sound systems, electronics, and security to ensure a safe environment for the community.
Mike Gwatney, the owner of Tempo Fire and Security, wanted to support the indoor playground that is available just off the original gym space. Bright, colorful squares line the floor to give children a soft floor and foundation for play. A large apparatus is available for climbing, sliding and tunnels to climb through. Children ten and under will enjoy the play area while other family members may watch a game.
Parks Director Chuck Eddington said he spoke with several kindergarten teachers to see what equipment they recommended for young children.
Gwatney said, “Of course, I want the public to see my name and know who to call when they need us. But we were on sight doing a lot of work on Creekside and when the opportunity became available to sponsor a room – we jumped on the chance. We are proud to be a sponsor of such a fine facility for our community.”
