Silver Alert ended with 93-year old found

The Harrison Police Department recently responded to a Silver Alert on Tuesday, Nov. 26 with a positive outcome.

A 93 year-old-female was reported missing to the Bella Vista, Arkansas Police Department on the evening of Monday, Nov. 27th after not returning home from a trip to the grocery store. Her vehicle was flagged by the FLOCK camera system going northbound on U.S. Highway 65 in south Boone County early Tuesday morning.

Patrolman Brayden Shearer located the vehicle near Wood Motor Company on the bypass and stopped the vehicle. The driver was confirmed as the missing woman from Bella Vista. Officers determined she had slept in her vehicle overnight in an unknown location. She was unsure of the route that brought her to Harrison.

The Harrison Police Department cared for her until a family member arrived from Mississippi to take her home.

The partnership the Harrison Police Department has with the Boone County Sheriff's Office maintaining this camera system has proven very beneficial to our community and county.
